Carmen V. Calcaño is founder and President of Human Resources Diversified Group, Inc. (HRD Group) a human resources outsourcing provider serving small and medium sized businesses offering services that includes Human Resources Management, Recruitment Management, Benefits and Compensation, Regulatory Compliance, Training, Occupational Health and Safety and Life and Business Coaching. She has more than twenty years of experience in the human resources field.
Prior to founding HRD Group, she enjoyed a successful career in human resources leadership positions with prestigious organizations such as Pall Life Sciences, Pharmacia, BD Caribe, LTD, Dual Lite Manufacturing, Inc. and Technicon Electronics.
Ms Calcaño received her Bachelor Degree in Secretarial Science, a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, with concentration in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Public Administration with concentration in Personnel, all from the University of Puerto Rico. She currently holds accreditation of Professional Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resources Certification Institute and is a Certified Creative Coach from the University of Puerto Rico.
She is an active member of the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Association and serves as Associate Director of its Metro Region; member of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, the Society of Human Resources, Centro Unido de Detallistas and the International Coach Federation. She is a collaborator of the Small Business Technology Development Center with offices in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, and member of the Advisory Board of the Instituto Empresarial para la Mujer. She is a part-time Professor in the Business Administration Department of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Fajardo Campus.
